Canada Just Closed a Tiny Loophole — and It's a Lesson for Every Traveller
As of June 5, 2026, most visa-exempt travellers arriving in Canada by boat from Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon now need an eTA — a route that used to let people skip Canada's usual pre-arrival screening. Only about 1,000 travellers a year are affected. But the real story here isn't the number. It's what it says about how easily people assume a travel rule doesn't apply to them.
